An early Victorian silver repousse Chritening mug. It has a London assay mark for 1845 and an inscription to the front with the slighter later date of (18)48. Nice form with a cast foot and quite a good amount of silver weight for the size. Makers mark is WC, probably for William Cooper. The frontal cartouche is insribed GPR 11.4.48.
Generally good, some polishing wear as expected. Hallmarks nice and clear. A couple of minor knocks, but nothing significant.
